      Simple and Precise Color Management

      Eizo CG2420 internal color measurement

      Built-In Calibration Sensor

The Eizo Coloredge CG2420 features a built-in sensor that is housed within the front bezel. The sensor swings onto the screen only when calibrating, eliminating the need for a third-party calibration device. It even operates while the monitor is in portrait mode.

      Self-Calibrating Monitor

Using either the OSD menu or the bundled ColorNavigator software, you can schedule the ColorEdge CG2420 to self-calibrate at specific times. Reassuringly, even if the monitor is switched off or not even connected to a computer, it will stick to its preset schedule and self-calibrate.

Eizo CG2420 correlation with other devices

      OS-Independent Calibration

Since the PC itself is not necessary for self-calibration, the ability to calibrate the monitor is not dependent on using an operating system supported by the ColorNavigator software. Therefore, a calibrated ColorEdge CG2420 can be used with Linux even though ColorNavigator currently does not support this OS.

      Correlation with Other Sensors

The Eizo ColorEdge CG2420 can be correlated to the measurement results of an external calibration sensor. This is convenient if the ColorEdge CG2420 is used in a work environment with other ColorEdge monitors and one measurement device must be used as a standard for all calibration. Correlation is done with a new “Correlation Utility” included with the bundled ColorNavigator software.

      Eizo CG2420 colorNavigator

      ColorNavigator 7

To properly manage color in your work, it is necessary to ensure your monitor maintains consistent settings. The bundled ColorNavigator 7 software allows you to easily carry out calibration. Simply select the desired preset or assign values for brightness, white point, and gamma. The built-in sensor directly utilizes the monitor's look-up-table and creates an ICC profile within minutes.

      Eizo CG2420 colorNavigator

      ColorNavigator NX

The Eizo ColorEdge CG2420 supports ColorNavigator NX quality control (QC) software. It offers asset management of client Eizo ColorEdge monitors and covers calibration, emulation, built-in sensor correlation, and color mode settings. With ColorNavigator NX, calibration information is saved to the monitor instead of the PC's operating system so you do not have to recalibrate if connecting to more than one PC. The software is most effectively used with Eizo's ColorNavigator Network solution.

      c5

      ColorNavigator Network

ColorNavigator Network provides centralized quality control of ColorEdge monitors that have ColorNavigator NX installed. Administrators can set color modes, schedule self-calibration, register or adjust asset management settings, and other tasks whether the monitors are local or remote. ColorNavigator Network is hosted on a secure cloud server to free you from the initial investment and running costs of providing your own server.

      Features for Creative Work

      CG275W uniformity

Brightness and Color Uniformity with DUE

Standard monitors constantly fall victim to fluctuations in brightness and chromaticity across the screen area. Eizo has incorporated their patented digital uniformity equalizer (DUE) technology to ensure a Delta-E difference of 3 or less across the screen when the monitor leaves the factory. DUE also counterbalances the influences that fluctuating ambient temperature has on color temperature and brightness, which allows you to rest assured you'll see the same color no matter what climate you're in.

      Stop Waiting For Warm Up

With most standard monitors, there is upwards of a 30 minute wait time before the brightness, chromaticity, and tone characteristics stabilize. Eizo has taken this into account on their new model by shortening this wait time to a mere 3 minutes (more than a 100% reduction). If you're worried about productivity and uptime, and every second counts, then the Eizo CG2420 is a right fit for you.

      Eizo cg2420 10bit display

      10-Bit Simultaneous Display

The monitor can display 10-bit color from a 16-bit look-up table via its DisplayPort input*. This is more than 1 billion colors shown simultaneously which is 64 times greater than the 16.7 million colors of 8-bit display. The result is even smoother color gradations and reduced Delta-E between two adjacent colors.

*A graphics board and software which support 10-bit output are also necessary for 10-bit display.

3D LUT for Better Additive Color Mixture

The monitor utilizes a new Eizo-developed 3D LUT. Whereas a typical 1D LUT adjusts color on separate tables for each red, green, and blue, a 3D LUT accomplishes this on a single, mixed-color cubic table. A 3D LUT improves the monitor's additive color mixture (combination of RGB), a key factor in its ability to display neutral gray tones.

      gamma correction

      Factory Adjustment of Gamma

To ensure that each ColorEdge monitor produces the most accurate and consistent color gradations possible, Eizo carefully measures and sets every shade of R, G, and B from 0 – 255 on the production line with the monitor's 16-bit Look-Up Table, to produce a monitor gamma value of 2.2. Should the user prefer a different value, ColorNavigator software can be used to set the gamma value from a range of 1.0 up to 2.6 in increments of 0.1.

      Color Area

      Wide Color Gamut

The Eizo Coloredge CG2420 LCD reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB color space so it can display almost all the colors of a photo in Adobe RGB mode. You'll be able to proof GRACoL and SWOP files confidently with 100% color space inclusion.

      nonGlare-ips

Wide Viewing Angles with IPS Panel

The 178° wide viewing angles afforded by the IPS panel technology allow two or more people to view the screen at once with little change in color or contrast.

      Features for Comfort and Ease-of-Use

      reflection

      Minimized Reflections with Non-Glare Panel

The monitor is equipped with an IPS non-glare panel for high visibility. It also uses dimming technology to minimize flicker and help prevent eye fatigue for a more comfortable working environment.

      Eizo cg2420 ip

      I/P Conversion for Flicker-Free Display

The HDMI input of the ColorEdge CG2420 supports I/P (interlace/progressive) conversion for converting the interlace signals from TV and video into progressive signals for flicker-free display.

      cg2420 hood

      Light-Shielding Hood

The CG Series comes bundled with a shading hood that effectively prevents glare on the monitor's screen caused by ambient lighting. The Eizo ColorEdge CG2420's shading hood is newly designed and attaches to the monitor magnetically. This allows the users to attach the hood quickly and easily without needing to connect separate parts.

      Eizo CG2420 stand

Ergonomic Stand for Comfort and Convenience

Adjust the screen to the most comfortable angle and reposition it to show your work to a colleague or client. The monitor comes with a versatile stand that offers height, tilt, and swivel adjustments as well as portrait display.

      Eizo CG2420 inputs

      Multiple Inputs

DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI-D inputs are included and support various types of graphics boards. The HDMI input also offers direct connection with digital cameras. Two USB upstream ports allow two computers to be connected at once so it is not necessary to reconnect the USB cable when using the ColorNavigator software and switching between computers.
